How does the bike arrive?

Our simple assembly process makes it possible to use your skills to assemble your GT at home. GT bikes will arrive 80% assembled. To get out riding, you will need to first install handlebars, seatpost, front wheel, brake rotor (if applicable) and a set of pedals. Click here to learn more about how your bike will arrive. Is this bike eligible for GT Connect?

No, the wheels are not compatible with tubeless.

What headset is used on the Avalanche?

The Avalanche has a Semi-Integrated, 1-1/8” - 1-1/2” head tube. It utilizes a ZS44/56 internal headset.

What is the max rotor size for the rear brake on the Avalanche?

The max rotor size on the rear brake is a 160mm rotor. The native brake rotor size without an adapter is 160mm rotor.

What bottom bracket is used on the Avalanche?

The Avalanche uses a BSA/73m bottom bracket.
